Ketamine Therapy
Ketamine therapy has not yet received FDA approval for the treatment of PTSD.
Ketamine therapy for PTSD is currently under study at several academic centers but has not received FDA approval. Like MDMA, which was recently rejected by the FDA for PTSD treatment, ketamine protocols are based on integrating established evidence-based psychotherapies.
However, unlike therapies such as Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) and Prolonged Exposure (PE), ketamine carries significant risks and side effects. At Nema, our clinical team carefully evaluates emerging treatments, and at this time ketamine therapy for PTSD remains an area of ongoing research, further study is warranted before it can be recommended.
